Dr. Stephens

Dr. Justin "Jay" Stephens joined the dental profession after graduating from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas School of Dental Medicine in 2019. Being the avid Dallas Cowboys fan that he is, as well as having family in Texas, Dr. Jay decided to plant his roots in East Texas where he began practicing his craft. He started as an Associate Dentist with Aspen Dental in Tyler, Texas and then shortly after, he assumed the role as Managing Clinical Director for the Marshall, Texas office until April 2021. It was at this time Dr. Jay decided to leave corporate dentistry to join private practice where his desire was to grow with families and his community. Dr. Jay really does have a passion for making a positive impact in people's lives and dentistry is just one of the ways that enables him to accomplish that. Dr. Jay is aware that the dental office can be a scary place for most, but he strives to create a nurturing and wholesome experience with each patient by exercising compassion, patience, humor, knowledge, and a host of other personal skills to inspire and hopefully change one's perspective of the dentist. Among the many things that Dr. Jay enjoys doing on his spare time, he enjoys going to concerts, sporting events, the outdoors, volunteer work, and traveling with his wife and their two dogs. Dr. Jay looks forward to meeting you and walking alongside you through all your dental needs.

I have had a bad experience in the past with a dentist, so to say dental work terrifies me is an understatement! However, Dr. Shahid did an outstanding job calming my nerves. I would recommend anyone to see him.

Teeth Whitening

A common request we receive is how to make a smile whiter and brighter. This is a relatively simple and quick treatment option that can be performed periodically. Certain foods and beverages, such as wine and coffee, stain the teeth and contribute to discoloration. The teeth whitening process provides a solution that lightens the shade of the teeth. Additionally, the process actually rids the teeth of plaque and tartar that tend to lead to dental problems.

Cleaning & Exams

Having a dental practice perform a checkup and regular cleaning gives a preventive approach to dental care. These general dentistry treatments help prevent problems with your teeth, gums and jaw bones, or they catch and manage problems before they worsen. During your visit, our doctors will take a picture of the current standing of your dental health and what would be needed to keep your oral hygiene in its best state.

Porcelain Crowns

Dental crowns are permanent prosthetics that cover a damaged tooth. A dentist might use them in place of a large filling or when a tooth is weak or fractured. We might recommend crowns if your teeth are weak, damaged or cracked to the point that they cannot be fixed with alternative treatments. While you might have pain and difficulty eating with a current tooth problem, a crown provides a strong new tooth that will diminish your discomfort. During your appointment, we will determine the crown options that’s best for you.
